The Valleys Factor |

The V Factor is a talent programme for young people across theValleys. The aim of the programme is to inspire young
peopleand develop their talents ready for a celebration event each year.
The first V factor was held in 2009 with the final celebration performances at the Park and Dare Theatre in Treorchy in May, 2009.
The V Factor was run by Bigfoot Arts Education and funded by the Heads of the Valleys Funding Programme and Rhondda Cynon Tafs E3 Programme.
In 2010, V Factor sessions are being runin schools and youth centres across the South Wales Valleys. Each area will have their own V Factor Performance in a local theatre and all winners will take part in a celebration event in July. | |

The V Factor, 2010-“Inspiring, Developing and Celebrating Young Valleys Talent."
“We all know The Valleys are bursting with warm, vibrant people, wonderful landscapes and interesting things to see and do. Add a proud industrial past and we think that The Valleys can justifiably claim to be the ‘Heart and Soul of Wales’. But, we want to dig a bit deeper and uncover the real story.”
The V Factor 2010 is part of “The Valleys- Heart and Soul” campaign and funded by The Heads of the Valleys, Western Valleys and Valleys Partnership. The new initiative is dedicated to creating the best possible future for The Valleys area.
Some of the world’s finest musicians, bands, singers, actors and actresses come from the Valleys. The V Factor aims to inspire and develop the next generation of artists whilst celebrating the creativity of young people across the Valleys.
